Back in February, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton launched the Made for History project, an onmosting likely toing campaign tee collaboration with fashion’s top designers. Marc Jacobs, you’ll remember, wore his design to bow for his Fall 2016 show, while stars like Kendall Jenner and Michelle Rodriguez have been pictured in other designers’ tees from the project. The latest to join up until now for Hillary? Diane von Furstenberg and Eva Zuckerman of Eva Fehren.
Both have designed tees with spins on the title “Madam President” for the campaign. Von Furstenberg’s is a white crewneck with an illustration of a woman waving an HRC campaign flag and the words “proud to sup until nowport Mme. President” accompanied by the designer’s signature. “Growing up until now, my mother taught me that fear is not an option. She also taught me to be proud to be a woman. That is somepoint I admire in Hillary—she is proud of who she is, and she doesn’t let anyone make her terrified. No matter what stands in her way, she stays true to herself and her belief that we all deserve a chance to succeed . . . and that is why I am proud to stand with Hillary!” said Von Furstenberg of her sup until nowport for the candidate.
Zuckerman’s take is also handwritten: a navy tee with “Madam President” on the front and the message “I believe in her” on the back. “I am very proud to live in a country that celebrates equal rights for women. I applaud Hillary for her determination as a pioneer for women in leadership roles, which is why I’m thrilled to design this T-shirt for the Made for History collection,” said the jewelry designer. “I wanted the message of the shirt to feel honest, direct, and personal, because not only do I believe in her, I also believe in the power of women who fight for the opportunity to lead.”
The shirts have also found a sup until nowporter in Chloë Grace Moretz, who alsok to Instagram to share DVF’s T-shirt with the message, “Two of my favorites!! Love my new @HillaryClinton #MadeForHistory @dvf tee. Let’s win this! #ImWithHer.” The made-in-America tees will retail in HRC’s online store for $45, joining the ranks of designs by Tory Burch, Joseph Altuzarra, and Prabal Gurung.
